Our Venue

2017 saw a brand new venue for this competition, which is open to any brass and percussion players. The LBBA Solo, Duet and Quartet contest will be held at Loughborough Endowed Schools, in the Music School and nearby school buildings on campus. This is the same venue as used for the Open Brass Band Competition in November.

The address of the venue is:

Loughborough Endowed Schools, Leicester Road, Loughborough, Leicestershire

A postcode for your SatNav is LE11 2AQ  – (Please note that this postcode will take you to the correct car park and coach park – other postcodes or directions may take you to the opposite side of the schools campus).

How to Enter:

Please find below a full schedule of sections, prices, rules and an entry form for the April 2018 competition. Please liaise with your band secretaries, to see if any of your other fellow players are also wishing to take part.

2018 sees the addition of THREE new sections, following feedback from our members and participants. There will now be a section for the more mature player, entitled ‘Veterans’ in line with some other solo contests, as well as a brand new section for those Adults who are just beginning to learn and also a new ‘Mixed’ duet – which is designed for an adult/tutor playing alongside a competitor from one of our Junior sections. We hope you enjoy these new sections!

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to  Contact Us using our web form.
